An exciting new way for customers to explore, discover, and purchase.
The Challenge
With Microsoft physical stores closed due to COVID, our goal was to give Microsoft Surface customers the same experience as going into the physical store. This means getting expert guidance from Store Associates on Surface devices.
Our high-level goals:
- Using 3D models of Surface devices to help Store Associates demonstrate the products in a virtual meeting 
- Must have product truth — show accurate scale, texture, color, and product features 
- Maintain frictionless shopping experience 
- Create a platform that is scalable and easy to use 
- Uphold Surface branding 
Discovery
Interviewed Store Associates to understand their goals, user flow, pinpoint, and limitations, when demonstrating a device via video.
- Show product features, ports, color, and texture 
- Up-sell Microsoft 365, Surface Accessories, and Warranty
